Doris Taylor passed from this life on September 8, 2024, in Henderson, Tennessee. Born on December 12, 1941, in Jackson Tennessee, Doris devoted her life to her family and her passions, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts all who knew her.
From 1960 to 1972, Doris balanced her endeavors as a devoted homemaker with her role at Palton Insurance, where she demonstrated remarkable dedication and grace in her contributions to the workforce in Jackson. Those who were fortunate enough to share their lives with her will always remember her as a good wife, fiercely protective and nurturing towards her family. With a profound love for animals, she brought joy into the lives of her pets, creating a home that was filled with warmth and care.
Doris's roots ran deep in Medon, where she lived next to her childhood home, embodying the essence of community and belonging. A woman of faith, she joined Big Springs Church in Medon, where she found solace and fellowship, deepening her spiritual journey among friends who shared her beliefs.
An artistic spirit, Doris found joy in painting and art, expressing herself through creativity that resonated with those around her. Her passion for family genealogy showcased her connection to her ancestry, revealing a curiosity that spanned generations. Additionally, she delighted in the pursuit of collecting old bottles, each piece a fragment of history that she cherished as part of her rich tapestry of life.
Doris is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Joe Taylor of Medon, whom she married on August 4, 1969, along with her beloved sisters: Diana Hunter and James of Beech Bluff, Glenda Rimmer of Jackson, and Renee Melton and Harold of San Antonio, TX. Her legacy continues through her several nieces and nephews, who carry forth her memory and the love she so readily bestowed upon her family.
She was preceded in death by her cherished sister, Jimmie Easham, and her beloved parents, James and Lera Haley Anderson. The strength of Doris's spirit and her loving nature will remain a guiding light for all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
