Dorothy Mae "Granny" Bowen Campbell

Dorothy Mae "Granny" Bowen Campbell was born on September 26, 1936 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Fred Thomas and Annie Mae Dennis Bowen.

She was united in marriage to Stephen Alexander Campbell, who preceded his wife in death on January 10, 1995.

Mrs. Campbell worked at Garan Manufacturing Company and was a babysitter for numerous children in Hardin County. She was a member of New Pleasant Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Dorothy enjoyed doing yardwork and going to school harvest festivals.

Dorothy Mae "Granny" Bowen Campbell departed this life on December 17, 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 86 years, 2 months, and 21 days.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Stricklin of Olive Hill, Tennessee; sons, Travis Campbell of Selmer, Tennessee, Jerry Campbell of Savannah, Tennessee, and Tommy Campbell of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Barbara Hubbard of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; brother, Freddie Bowen of Savannah, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren; and 39 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Campbell and sisters, Peggy Turnbow and Louise Galle.
