Dorothy Ann Shivers Cozart, 77, passed away January 4, 2010 in Ramer, TN. She was born in Hughes, AR on May 28, 1932 to parents, James Tolbert and Annie Adrian Prueitt Shivers. She was united in marriage to Ed Cozart on April 29, 1956. She was a graduate of All Saints College of Vicksburg, MS and was a retired legal secretary. She was a former member of Saint Andrews Episcopal Church of Manitou Springs, CO and a present member of Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Ramer, TN. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ed Cozart of Ramer, TN; children, Linda E. Cozart of Colorado Springs, CO, Steven E. Cozart of Austin, TX; brothers, James L. Shivers of West Memphis, AR, Ewell N. Shivers of Ramer, TN, Robert D. Shivers of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Reed, Erin, and Ryan Cozart. Other than her parents, Mrs. Cozart was also preceded in death by a daughter Kathryn A. Cozart and a brother Thomas Shivers. Memorial services will be on Saturday, January 9, 2010, 2:00 PM, at Rosewood United Methodist Church, 2303 E. Barton Ave., West Memphis, AR with Rev. David Moose officiating. A second memorial service will be on Monday, January 11, 2010, 2:00 PM, at Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3107 Mt. Vernon Rd., Ramer, TN with Rev. Jeff DeWees officiating. She will be dearly missed by her family here on earth, but welcomed into God's home for eternity. Family request any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) to aid breast cancer research and support for victims and their families or the American Heart Association.
