Dorothy Marie Davis

Dorothy Davis was born January 9, 1935 in Corinth, MS the daughter of the late Oliver and Lela Whirley. She made her home in Corinth, MS.
Dorothy retired as a dental hygienist and worked as a nursery worker at First Presbryterian Church for 12-15 years. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Elks Lodge. She loved visiting with family and friends. Dorothy also loved gardening.
Dorothy departed this life on August 27, 2020 in Tupelo, MS at the age of 85 years old. She is survived by neices and nephews, Randel Morgan, Gary Whirley, Sandra Whirley Boatman, Roger Whirley, Lisa Whirley Morgan, Ricky Whirley, and Mike Mills.
Mrs Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Davis; three sisters: Viola Whirley Mills, Elisabeth Whirley Morgan, Oma Whirley Watkins; and three brothers: L.C. Whirley, Otto Whirley, and James Whirley.
A graveside services was held at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Eastview, Tennessee. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer, TN.
