DOROTHY HEARN

Henderson, TN: Dorothy Sue Wade Hearn age 88 passed away May 10, 2015 at her home.

She was born June 9, 1926 in the Montezuma community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Elmer Scott and Gladys Wyatt Wade. She attended school in Chester County and married Willard Hearn in 1944. They made their home west of Henderson where they farmed. While Mr. Hearn was in the Navy, Mrs. Hearn worked at Salant & Salant Mfg. She loved to cook, can and work in the garden. Mrs. Hearn was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Willard Monroe Hearn of Henderson; two sons, Michael Hearn and wife Lisa of Paris, KY and Rickey Hearn and wife Debbie of Henderson and two daughters, Judy Groteluschen and husband Rick of Labadie, MO and Paula Burrow and the late Dr. W.B. Burrow of Germantown, TN; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; a sister, Norma Jean Smith of Finger.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Reda Lott.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Trinity Methodist Church with Dr. Roger Penn and Rev. Larry Rice officiating and burial will follow in Trinity cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday and beginning 9:00 AM Wednesday morning at Trinity Methodist Church.
