Dorothy Jean Long

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Long, age 99, of Grand Valley Lakes, Saulsbury, (formerly of Florida) departed this life on Wednesday night, August 2, 2023, at Jackson-Madison General Hospital.

She was born May 8, 1924, in Springfield, MO, the daughter of the late Ernest Lee and Edna Leona Farris Hart. She was the widow of Mr. Edward Martin Long and worked as a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Pam Quinn and Debbie Lamay, both of Florida; three sons, Ed Long (Judi) of Grand Valley Lakes, Saulsbury, TN, David Long of California and, Jerry Long (Verna) of Florida; one sister, Donna Jones and, one brother, Dale Hart, both of Missouri; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Private, family memorial services will held at a later date in Joplin, MO, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
