DOROTHY BURKHEAD TURNER
Henderson, TN: Dorothy Ann Burkhead Turner age 63 passed away July 9, 2017 at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born February 7, 1954 in Henderson at Guy Stedman Clinic, the first twins of L. T. and Jessie Melvina Ridley Burkhead. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1972. She graduated from West Tennessee Business College with a degree in public accounting, cosmetology and message therapy. She owned and operated A New You, massage therapy, manicures and all cosmetology services.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Dorothy played the piano and organ. She expressed her faith and love for her God in many beautiful cross stitch pictures.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Turner in 2012 and a brother, Tommy Keith Burkhead, July 4, 1971 and also a great niece, Jaiden Star Weaver.
Mrs. Turner is survived by her brothers, Douglas Burkhead (Pat) of Henderson and Mike Burkhead (Louise) of Pinson; two sisters, Deloris Burkhead Hatch of Henderson and Helen Burkhead Weaver (Daryl) of Burkburnett, TX; two nephews, Chris and Wesley Weaver and two great nephews, Tyler and Mason Weaver and a great niece Layla Mae Weaver.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Ken Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday.
