Dorothy Ann Waldon was born November 14, 1945 in Corinth, Mississippi the daughter of the late John and Modenia McDowell Waldon.
Miss Waldon had worked as a seamstress in the garment factory at Eastview for several years. She was a member of the Tishomingo Chapel Baptist church, she taught Sunday school there for many years. She loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed riding in the country looking at the scenery especially pear trees, grapevines, and flowers.
Miss Waldon departed this life on September 6, 2011 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 65 Years, 9 Months, 23 Days. She is survived by her companion, Lonnie Roland of Adamsville, TN; a daughter, Cindy Hodge of Middleton, TN; a son, Eddie Austin and wife Penelope of Russellville, AL; two step daughters, Stacie Robertson of Savannah, TN, Lana Roland of Savannah, TN; stepson, Greg Roland of Savannah, TN; a sister, Mary Eubanks of Hornlake , MS; two brothers, Robert Waldon of Corinth, MS, J.L. Waldon of Hernando, MS; eleven grandchildren, Brian Hodge, J.R. Hodge, Michael Austin, Matthew Austin, Amber Delaney, Tyler Roland, Gracie Shields, Lacie Bain, Canaan Bain, Alisha Baker, April Rickman; three great-grandchildren, Allie Delaney, Kelsey Beckham and Callie Kanavel.
In addition to her parents, Miss Waldon was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Jane Benjamin; a brother, Paul Waldon and a a grt-grandchild, Madison Baker.
