Dottie Elizabeth Matlock

Dottie Elizabeth Taylor Matlock was born June 28, 1922 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Frank and Nora Robertson Taylor.
She was united in marriage to J. D. Matlock, Sr. on December 6, 1941. Mr. Matlock preceded her in death on January 11, 1979.
Mrs. Matlock was a homemaker and production worker for 20 years at Harmon Manufacturing. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee.
Mrs. Matlock departed this life on December 1, 2009 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 5 Months, 3 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Matlock Wilhite of Corinth, MS and Elizabeth (Earnie) Matlock Heins of Selmer, TN; a son, J. D. Matlock, Jr. and wife Jackie of Selmer, TN; five grandchildren: Jack Waters, Marc Waters, J. D. (Jay) Matlock III and wife Monica, Beth (Matlock) Brown and husband Kerry, and Kenny Wilhite; four great-grandchildren: Haden Ty Matlock, Hannah Amelia Matlock, Makala Brown, and Kason Brown; two sisters, Nova Dedrick of Jonesboro, AR and Helen King and husband Estel of Selmer, TN; a brother, Varnell Taylor of Selmer, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Matlock was preceded in death by three sisters: Nola Robertson, Lois Horton, and Lottie Creasey; and a brother, Parnell Taylor.
