Douglas Halfacre

Douglas Halfacrewas born in Lewis County, Tennessee on September 16, 1946 the son of the late Douglas Cordell, Sr. and Cordie Hurley Halfacre.Mr. Halfacre lived in Hardin County most of his life. He enjoyed painting pictures and collecting replicas of antique cars and tractors. He had worked at Savannah Motors for 3 years as a car detailer.Mr. Halfacre departed this life on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the age of 65 years and 15 days.He is survived by a sister, Shirley Welch of Adamsville, Tennessee; nephews, Joseph Beavers and wife Meghan of Waynesboro, Tennessee and Adam Welch of Jackson, Tennessee; nieces, Janice Ward and husband Jonathan of Adamsville, Tennessee and Jo Ann Halfacre of Crump, Tennessee; grandnephews, C.J., Jackson, Seth and Wesley; grandniece, Lillie and a host of friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Halfacre.
