Douglas Grayford Robertson of Iron City, TN was born June 24, 1951 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the son of Andy (Mutt) Wayford and Clura Dean Daniel Robertson of Iron City, TN, who survives. He was united in marriage to Judy Marie Conway on August 22, 1980. Mr. Robertson was a disabled fork lift operator and logger. He attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Iron City, Tennessee.
Mr. Robertson departed this life on Friday, August 28, 2009 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 58 Years, 2 Months, 4 Days.
Other than his parents, he is survived by his wife, Judy Marie Conway Robertson; two sons, Joseph Edward Robertson and Andrew Taylor Robertson; a daughter, Jennifer Marie Robertson Davis and husband, Jason M.; two sisters, Teresa Robertson Arnett and husband, Tony and Denise Robertson Robbins and husband, Larry all of Iron City, TN; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Larry Wayford Robertson.
Services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Mark Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery, Iron City, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Tony Arnett, Larry Robbins, Adam Robbins, Jason M. Davis, Keith Dicus, Tim Daniel. Visitation will be Sunday, August 30, 2009 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Monday, August 31, 2009 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
