Dovie Edwards

Dovie Kennedy Edwards was born August 1, 1912 in Hardin County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Charlie W. and Lura Virginia Smith Kennedy.She was united in marriage to Bonnie O. Edwards on December 5, 1931. Mr. Edwards preceded her in death on November 1, 1991.Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and she was a member of the Milledgeville United Methodist Church. She had also lived in Florence, Alabama and Henderson County, Tennessee.Mrs. Edwards departed this life on July 2, 2009 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 96 Years, 11 Months, 1 Day.She is survived by her brother, T. C. Kennedy of Milledgeville, TN.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by one brother, C. W. Kennedy,one half-brother, Mayhew Don Kennedy; three sisters, Maudie Flatt, Mildred Hicks, Juanita Smith; stepmother, Cora Kennedy.
