Doyle Weeks

Doyle Weeks departed this life on April 13, 2013 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 5 Months, 5 Days. He was born November 8, 1935 in the Leapwood community of McNairy County, the son of the late Alfie N. and Mary Harris Weeks. He lived his entire life in the Leapwood community.
Doyle was united in marriage to Doris Hampton on March 21, 1958 and recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. He was of Baptist belief.
Doyle loved nature. He enjoyed the serenity of the land and being outdoors watching turkey, deer, and other animals on his farm. He got a lot of pleasure over the years in tending and caring for his mules. Most of all he loved his family very much. He had a special bond with his grandson Aaron whom he raised. He was very close to his brother Arvis and they spent a lot of time together.
He is survived by his wife Doris (Hampton) Weeks of Adamsville, TN; four daughters, Jeanette Duncan and husband Harry, Benice McLain and husband Roger, Melissa Harris and husband John, all of Adamsville, TN, Andrea Williams and companion Jimmy Franks of Savannah, TN; a son, Randall Weeks of Adamsville; three sisters, Virginia Finley, Brenda Pickens, Freeda Bricker and husband Don, all of Adamsville; two brothers, Waylon Weeks of Adamsville, TN, Arvis Weeks and wife Jane of Bethel Springs, TN; eight grandchildren, Lindsay McLain, Ashlee Dycus, Derick Gibbs, Tyler Weeks, Aaron Weeks (who was like a son to Doyle), Cody Godwin, Shelby Weeks, Haley Weeks; two great grandchildren, Addison Kai McKee, Evan Knox Dycus; a sister-in-law, Wanna Mae Weeks of Adamsville. A host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Weeks was preceded in death by a son, Artis Weeks on July 31, 1996. Also preceded by three brothers, Welbert Weeks, Elvin Weeks, Shannon Weeks.
Special thanks to the nurses and CNA's at Adamsville Healthcare and the staff at Hardin Medical Center and Dr. Peter's for the excellent care for the last 18 months.
