Doyle Wayne Young, Sr.

Doyle Wayne Young, Sr. was born June 8, 1933, in Chester County, TN, the son of the late Walter Raymond Young and Arvie Elsie Moore Young.

Doyle was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Dinwiddie on September 10, 1960. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee which is now First Baptist Church North Campus. He was a retired Real Estate Agent.

Doyle had a profound love for the great outdoors; however, his greatest joy came from the time spent with his family.

Doyle departed this life on October 16, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 92 Years, 4 Months, 8 Days.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Young; two sons, Wayne Young, Tony Young and wife Kimberly; five grandchildren: Jermey Russell and wife Rachael and their son, Jake Russell, Nathan Young and wife Amber and their children, Remi Young and Indiana Young, Lacey Young-Watkins and husband Zach and their daughter, Sage Watkins, Hunter Young, Jake Young and wife Jessica, and their son, Henry Young; and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Young was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Young and wife Virginia.
