Obituary

Drew Stevens Smith, born on February 4, 1981, to Steve and Shearon Smith, passed away on April 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and unwavering determination.

Drew was a son, a brother, a father, and a friend who meant so much to so many. Known for his competitive spirit, he had a deep love for baseball—a passion that reflected his drive, grit, and love for the game. Whether playing or watching, Drew brought energy and heart to everything he did.

Above all, Drew’s greatest joy in life was his three children—Sydney, Luke, and Ava. He loved them deeply and took immense pride in supporting them in all their endeavors. Whether on the sidelines, on the stage, in the stands, or simply encouraging them day to day, Drew was always present,

always invested, and always their biggest supporter.

Drew also found peace and happiness in the outdoors. He loved spending time searching for arrowheads and fossils, enjoying the quiet and wonder of nature. Those moments reflected his appreciation for life’s simple and meaningful experiences.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Selmer, where his faith was an important part of his life.

Drew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ted and Pauline Smith, and his maternal grandparents, Warren and Louise Isbell.

He is survived by his loving parents, Steve and Shearon Smith; his children, Sydney, Luke, and Ava; his sister, Holly Stroup (Michael) of Gallatin, Tennessee, and their sons, Jackson and Knox; his brother, Tyler Smith of Selmer, Tennessee, and his sons, Russell and Barrett; and a wide circleof family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Drew lived a life marked by perseverance and heart. He faced challenges with strength and courage, often defying the odds, and leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. Though his time here feels far too short, we find comfort in knowing that God has called him home.

In honoring Drew, we remember a life lived with grit, love, and a spirit that will never be forgotten
