Drewey Davis Bishop

Mr. Drewey Davis Bishop of Hickory Valley, the widower of Sarah Jean Martin Bishop, passed away at the age of 89 years, five months and 21 days Monday evening, April 15, 2013, at the Bolivar General Hospital.
The son of the late Hosie Lee and Annie Taylor Bishop, he lived all his life in Hardeman County. He married Mrs. Bishop in February of 1948 after serving in the US Army during World War II in the Infantry. He was a farmer and member of the Hickory Valley Baptist Church.
Among his survivors, he leaves a daughter, Carol Bishop of Hickory Valley; a son, David Bishop of Olive Branch, MS; and 3 grandchildren, Paul Alan Bishop, Aaron Davis Bishop and Lindsey Marie Bishop.
Mr. Bishop was preceded in death by his parents, wife, six sisters, Edna Edgars, Dorothy White, Anna Lee Holmes, Margaret Atkieson, Martha Logan and Virginia Woods; and one brother, Malcolm Daniels Bishop.
