Dustin was a 2008 graduate of McNairy Central High School, where he played football for the Bobcats for 2 years. He was a welder by trade, and a member of the Boilermakers Union, Local 263 in Memphis, TN. Dustin attended the Eastside church of Christ in Selmer, Tennessee.
Dustin departed this life on October 31, 2009 in Pocahontas, Tennessee at the age of 19 Years, 11 Months, 22 Days. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Tony and Trish Ray of Pocahontas, TN; his mother, Diana Welch Ray of Selmer, TN; a sister, Krista Ray of Selmer, TN; a step-sister, Melissa Laugherty and husband Barry of Booneville, MS; maternal grandparents James R. and Hilda Welch of Adamsville, TN; paternal grandparents Basil and Lottie Ray of Selmer, TN; maternal great-grandmother Mary D. Welch of Adamsville, TN; several aunts, uncles and cousins; a step-niece and nephew; and a host of extended family and friends.
