EARL CROUSE
Henderson, TN: Earl Franklin Crouse age 85 passed away Thursday afternoon, November 22, 2012 at his home near Henderson.
Mr. Crouse was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Hobert McKinley and Elthel Beatrice Morton Crouse. He attended schools in Chester County. In 1950 he married Faye Beshires. They made their home in the Phillips School House Community all their married life. He farmed as a young man and worked in commercial building construction as a brick mason for 40 years retiring in 1989. After retiring he farmed with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Local #2 Brick Mason Union in Jackson for 39 years. He was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon since 1976 and had also served as song director, Sunday school teacher, and served on the cemetery committee. He was also a member of the Chester County Farm Bureau. He was a Veteran of WWII serving with the 78th artillery division in the European Theater of Operations and served one year in Berlin with the first operational troops.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Faye Beshires Crouse of Henderson; three sons, Roger Crouse and wife Sandra, Robert Crouse and wife Melva and Randy Crouse and wife Leigh, and a daughter, Angela (Angie) Evans all of Henderson; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, a brother, Ray Crouse of Deanburg and four sisters, Evelyn Hysmith and Betty Robbins both of Finger, Barbara Ann Cherry of Henderson and Linda McElwain of Lexington.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Tommy Crouse, Billy Crouse and Hobert Crouse, Jr.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Cave Springs Baptist Church with Brother Ronnie Geary officiating and burial will follow with Military Honors at Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel beginning 5:00 PM Friday.
