Edward Earl Keene was born on July 22, 1937, in Shipman, Illinois to Frank Keene and Ethel McCart Keene. Mr. Keene had eight siblings, four brothers; Thaddeus Keene, William (Bill) Keene, Carl Keene, and Tommy Keene. There were four sisters; Helen Reeves, Emma Bolyard, Mabel White, and Alberta Berneaux. Surviving sisters are Alberta and Mabel of Decatur, Illinois.
He departed this life on Friday, May 13, 2016, at the age of 78 years, 9 months, 21 days.
Mr. Keene served in the Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged after 4 years. Mr. Keene became a heavy equipment operator in Illinois.
Mr. Keene met his bride Barbara Harlow and after a 2 week romance was united in marriage in July 1959. They moved to Tennessee and were active in the community. She preceded him in death on November 8, 2013.
Mr. Keene leaves the his two sisters and a special friend, Kathy Burks.
