Earnest Rabon Carlin

Earnest Rabon Carlin was born June 8, 1938 in Hardeman County, Tennessee the son of the late Kirby and Leota Boatman Carlin.He was united in marriage to Sylvia Doris Taylor on August 30, 1958.Mr. Carlin worked at Brown Shoe Company in Selmer for 17 years after which he worked as a salesman for various companies. He was a member of the Mount Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ramer, Tennessee and attended Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. Mr. Carlin proudly served his country in the United States Navy.Mr. Carlin departed this life on April 26, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 10 Months, 18 Days. He is survived by his wife Sylvia Doris (Taylor) Carlin of Ramer, TN; a daughter, Vicki Michelle (Carlin) Lindsay and husband Herbert Lamar Lindsay of Collierville, TN; two grandchildren, Zachary Trevor Lindsay of Collierville, TN, Caleb Braden Lindsay of Collierville, TN; a sister, Sherrel Carlin of Ramer, TN; and a brother, Jim Carlin of Selmer, TN.In addition to his parents, Mr. Carlin was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Hathcock; and a brother, John Robert Carlin.
