Earnest Replogle, a cherished soul whose life was woven with devotion, service, and love, was born on July 27, 1941, in Selmer, Tennessee, to the late Bedford and Pearlie Mae Spencer Replogle. His journey through 84 years, 10 months, and 20 days was marked by steadfast commitment—to family, country, and community.
In the summer of 1965, Earnest found a lifelong companion in Ruth Arnold. Their union, a testament to enduring love, lasted for an inspiring 60 years, a beacon of partnership and mutual devotion that warmed the hearts of those around them.
Earnest’s hands told stories of hard work and dedication. For two decades, he navigated the highways as a truck driver, and he also worked at Brown Shoe Company and salesman for a bread company, illustrating his versatile spirit and tireless work ethic.
Hunting and fishing were not merely hobbies but joyous rituals where he forged deep connections with the world around him. Family vacations were treasured times, highlighted by memorable journeys with his grandchildren to Disney World—a magical place they visited together seven times, creating timeless memories.
Earnest’s sense of duty extended beyond family to his country. Serving in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963, he stood with honor as a radio operator and member of the honor guard during the Korean Conflict era. Though he did not see combat, his service reflected a quiet bravery and unwavering commitment to protect and serve.
On June 16, 2026, Earnest peacefully departed this life in Bethel Springs, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy rich with love and remembrance. He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Ruth; two daughters, Sheri Michelle Replogle of Bethel Springs and Ginger Bland and her husband Darryl of Humboldt; six granddaughters—Glynnis Miller and husband Tim, Megan Smith and husband Anthony, Reanna Hopkins and husband Houston, Abby Callins, Jessica Keithline and husband Matt, Hannah Carrol and husband Ryan; twelve great-grandchildren; and countless extended family and friends, all of whom carry his spirit within their hearts.
His life’s story is further graced by memories of those who preceded him: his parents, his sister Peggy Freeman, and his six brothers, Kenneth, Guy Mack, B.B., John, Joe Frank, and Robert Replogle.
Earnest Replogle’s legacy is a tapestry of love, service, and family that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know him. His memory remains a gentle light guiding those who loved him, a true celebration of a life well-lived.
