Earnest V Scott

Earnest V Scottwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 6, 1920 the son of the late Eli and Ruth Smith Scott.Mr. Scott was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in World War II and was a Prisoner of War. He retired from the City of Savannah Sanitation Department as a Sanitation Worker. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.Mr. Scott departed this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at the age of 89 years, 4 months, 20 days.Mr. Scott is survived by 2 stepdaughters, Alma Taylor of Savannah, Tennessee and Gloria Mae Bowen of LaGrange, Georgia; 2 brothers, Marion Scott of Savannah, Tennessee and Merideth Scott of Killeen, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Brent Taylor, Eric Bowen, Earnest Bowen, and Ricky Bowen; 3 great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Shook Scott on July 9, 1994; a sister, Nelly Rinks; 3 brothers, Loyd Scott, Cecil Scott, and Thomas Scott.
