Eddy Patterson

CHARLES E. (EDDY) PATTERSON

 He was born December 18, 1942. The first child of Annie Lulene Cupples and Wesley Hester Patterson. He joined the United States Navy and served four years.

He married his high school sweetheart on March 22, 1960. He did carpenter work and started his own construction business.

He served ten years as County Commissioner, serving two years as County Judge. He was elected in 1984 as Mayor of Henderson and City Judge. He served twenty-four years as Mayor and an additional twelve years as City Judge.

He loved his wife and family very much. He truly loved his great grandsons and watching them play in their ball games . 

He is survived by his wife, Judith, two daughters, Kim Mays and Kindra Frix; three grandchildren, Nicki Bray (Kirk), Whitney Cupples (Malcolm) and Wesley Frix (Mary) and three precious great grandboys, Will Bray, Luke Bray and Wyatt Frix. He is also survived by two brothers, Jimmy and Steve Patterson and two sisters, Brenda and Phyllis and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

A Memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, Sept. 5th at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson’s Crook Avenue Chapel, preceded by a one our public visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.

The family will also receive friends at Crook Avenue Chapel on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Bro. Shane Connor officiating.
