EDDIE BRYSON

Henderson, TN: Edgar Pearl Bryson ag 87, passed away August 15, 2022, at Adamsville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born September 1, 1935, in Memphis, TN the son of the late Fred and Louise Jackson Bryson. He grew up in Memphis and graduated from Humes High School in 1953. He attended Memphis State University and earned his bachelor’s degree in business.

He was Presbyterian in belief.

He married Betty Ham. They made their home in Memphis before moving to Chester County. Betty preceded him in death on May 26, 2017.

He had a strong work ethic. He was a paper boy by the age of ten. He has farmed through the years on the side. He worked for Jimmy Payne Volkswagen, then Foster Auto World as general manager. He also started Tacaonnah Farms raising exotic animals. He also owned Big Bird Seed. He also sold Real Estate through Crye-Leike Realtors; He finished his working career working for the Chester County Sanitation Department at Cave Springs for eighteen years.

He enjoyed gardening and quail hunting. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Bryson is survived by a son, Sam Bryson of Memphis and a daughter, Holly Guest of Marvel, AR; five grandchildren, Madalyn Pike, Samuel Bryson, Hallie Ward, Maggie Guest and Jason Bryson and two great grandchildren, Jaxon Fox and Waylon Glover.   

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a son, David Bryson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, August 25^th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Jeremy Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Cave Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time on Friday.
