Pinson: Edgar Lynn Young, age 59, died Friday morning June 5, 2015 at his home in the Five Points Community near Pinson.
He was born and reared in the Five Points Community in Madison County near Pinson, the son of Lila Frances Arnold Young and the late Hubert Edgar Young. He went to school at Southside High School.
He worked for twenty five years at SONCO, finishing his career as a line foreman before he became disabled. He had also worked with his father in the construction business. He loved his Boxer dog, Rocky and enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Big Springs United Methodist Church.
He is survived by two daughters; Crystal Young of Bells, TN and Dixie Stewart and husband Jesse of Jackson, a grandson Dylan Stewart and his mother Frances Arnold Young of Pinson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Big Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford – Casey Chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday.
