Henderson, TN: Edith Virginia Patterson Hall age 89 passed away January 4, 2016 at her home.
She was born May 9, 1926 in the Hickory Corner Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Edgar and Allie Cupples Patterson. She attended school at Hickory Corner. She enjoyed basketball as a young lady and was married to Jerome Hall, December 23, 1944. She was employed at Salant & Salant for several years and later worked for Chester County Mfg. She was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school there. She also served as a Girl Scout leader and she was an extremely proficient seamstress. She was an excellent cook and a flower gardener.
Mrs. Hall is survived by a daughter, Carol Whitley (boyfriend Harold Woods) of Nashville; grandchildren, Bart Whitley, Clint Whitley, Lance Whitley, Erin Gerasimenko and Brooke Pearson and nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria Dean of Peoria, IL, Linda Britt of Jackson and Lila Robison of Finger; a brother, Donnie Patterson, Henderson Tennessee
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerome Hall in 2004, a son Danny (Dee Hall) Hall in 2015; one sister, Lottie Tucker and brothers, Allen Patterson, David Patterson, Kenton Patterson and Jerry Patterson and Elmo Cupples.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday January 7, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating with burial in Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday.
