Edna Vaught Dunbar

Edna Vaught Dunbar was born October 24, 1923 in Leachville, AR the daughter of Lula Belle Brush. Mrs. Dunbar departed this life on Monday, May 30, 2016 at her home near Waynesboro at the age of 92 Years, 7 Months, 6 Days. Mrs. Dunbar, a homemaker, was a member of Waynesboro Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Hugh Dunbar on March 22, 2008 and a daughter, Gail AnneThrasher.

She is survived by two sons, Kyle Alan Hand of Arizona and Gregory Craig Hand of Waynesboro, TN, two daughters, Muriel Penelope Crosswhite and Glenda Karen Hand both of Waynesboro, TN, seven grandchildren, Patrick Crosswhite, Joe Crosswhite, Jon Crosswhite, Edward Hand, Christopher Hand, Jennifer Marie Mitchell and husband Doug Jr., and Jason Ray Thrasher, great grandchildren, Victoria Rene Mitchell and Kayden Alexander Mitchell and several other great grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Bobby Pinckley officiating. Burial will follow in the Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00-9:00 PM and Friday From 8:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
