Edward F. Donnelly, 85, of Middleton, passed away Friday, October 30, 2009 at Morningside Assisted Living in Jackson.
Born April 11, 1924 to the late Hugh Francis and Martha Donnelly, he spent 27 years in the U.S. Marines as a Master Gunnary Sergeant having served in World War II, Korea, the Dominican Republic Revolution and Vietnam. He was married to the late Johnnye Harrell Donnelly, who died September 8, 1999, and was a member of Middleton United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fleet Reserve Association, Masons (Adams Lodge), Middleton Lions Club, and the Hardeman County Veterans Affairs Office, he was also a State Fire Marshall Inspector.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Todd of Jackson; and a son Hugh Francis Donnelly of Nashville.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a stepmother, Alice Marie DeGraw.
