Edward Lee Givens

Edward Lee Givens of Iron City, TN was born April 17, 1939 in Florence, Alabama, the son of the late James Walter and Mary Chambers Givens. He was united in marriage to Betty Jean West on February 7, 1959.Mr. Givens was retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company and was a member of the Bethel Grove Church.Mr. Givens departed this life on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at his home at the age of 72 Years, 7 Months, 13 Days.He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Givens of Iron City, TN; sons, James Lee Givens and Robert Lee Givens and wife, Donna; daughters, Wanda Gail Givens and Rhonda Jean Vickery and husband, Roger all of Iron City, TN; 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren; sisters, Lorene Sharp of Killen, AL and Carolyn Martin of Iron City, TN; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Givens and a brother, Earl Givens. Services will be Friday, December 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Emerald Bailey and Gerald Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Railroad Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.Pallbearers will be Roy Lee Atkinson, Corey Vickery, Tracy Hunt, Johnny West, Kevin Vickery, and Tim Hunt. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy West and Donnie West.
