Edward Huggins

EDWARD HUGGINS, JR.



was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on December 2, 1918 the son of the late Ed Huggins, Sr. and Nora Smith Huggins.



On February 14, 1997 he was united in marriage to Augusta Hays, who survives.



Mr. Huggins retired from Brown Shoe Company as a Security Guard after 15 years. He was a member and one of the founders of Peoples Tabernacle Church in Savannah. Mr. Huggins was also a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. He was a member of the Hardin County Saddle Club. Mr. Huggins enjoyed working with horses and going to church, where he was very active. He enjoyed all children and was a very good man.



Mr. Huggins departed this life on January 30, 2010 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 91 years, 1 month and 28 days.



Other than his wife, Augusta of Milan, Tennessee, he is survived by one step-daughter, Linda Watt and her husband Travis of Jackson, Tennessee



3 step-sons, Eddie Gordon and his wife Martha of Milan, Tennessee, Tommie Gordon and his wife Kathy of Jackson, Tennessee and Jeffery Gordon of Milan, Tennessee



7 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren



In addition to his parents, Mr. Huggins was also preceded in death by his first wife, Esther McClearen Huggins, one daughter, Mary Katherine Huggins, 2 sisters, Leona White and Maudie White and 2 step-great grandchildren, Jackson Tucker and Blake Houston
