Mr. Edward King, age 88 of Bolivar, Tennessee, died Sunday evening, August 13, 2017 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.
A native of the Cloverport community, Mr. King was born Sunday, March 17, 1929 to the late Alvin Ambrose and Emma Adelia King. He was a sawmiller and farmer and enjoyed working on cars, small engines, watches and cell phones. He lived most of his life in Hardeman County and was a member of Cloverport Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Linda Bishop of Bolivar, Lanette King of Middleton, and Penny Blaylock of Atoka; sons, Leon King of Toone and Timothy King of Toone; grandchildren, Joe King of Brownsville, Clinton King of Millington, Melissa King of Memphis, Grant King of Atoka, Chad Blaylock of Atoka and Brad Blaylock of Atoka; five great-grandchildren and one on the way.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ray King; brothers, J. C. King, T. W. King, Brint King, Boyd King, Luther King and Elvin King; and sisters, Willie King and Corine Crum.
