Edward Lawson departed this life on Friday, November 8, 2019, at the age of 90 years, 7 months, and 22 days. He was born in Merrimac, West Virginia on March 17, 1929, the son of the late Julius Levi and Noka Lambert Lawson. On May 9, 1952, he was united in marriage to Frances Roberts, who preceded him in death on August 22, 2019.
Edward had lived in Hardin County, Tennessee since 1967, and had worked for LTV Steel in Counce, Tennessee for over 20 years. He had transferred from Cal-Metal in Torrance, California, where he had worked for 10 years. Edward was a member of the Savannah Church of God and served as Deacon for over 20 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting.
Edward is survived by his children, Pam Wilkes and her husband Ronald, and Christy Harrison and her husband Steve, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Andy Talley and his wife Christy, Jonathan Wilkes and his wife Ashley, and Kevin Wilkes and his wife Missy; great grandchildren, Chelsea Brasher, Lacie Brasher, Tyler Grammill, Grace Wilkes, Brayden Wilkes, Sophia Wilkes, Maddie Wilkes, Turner Wilkes, Harper Wilkes, Ander Talley, Addison Talley, and Acesyn Talley; great great grandchildren, Eli Robinson and Emmett McFall; brothers, Julius "Junior" Lawson of Kentucky and Rick Lawson of North Carolina; and sister, Peggy Thompson of Michigan.
In addition to his parents and wife, Edward was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Diane Brasher and Rhonda Talley; brothers, Homer Lawson, James Lawson, Bill Lawson, and Larry Lawson; and sister, Georgie Rife.
