Edwin (Red) Brison was born August 18, 1931 in Collinwood, Tennessee, the son of the late Bill and Minnie Dixon Brison. He was united in marriage to Eudean Holt on August 14, 1954.
Mr. Brison was a retired sole layer with Genesco. He was a member of the Shawnettee United Methodist Church in Collinwood, Tennessee and served in the United States Army.
Mr. Brison departed this life on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 9 Months, 30 Days.
He is survived by his wife, Eudean Holt Brison; son, Joe Brison and wife, Debbie; sister, Era Jane Brison all of Collinwood, TN; niece, Ginger McFall; nephew, Kirk Butler; great-nieces, Kelvie and Kindle McFall
Services will be held on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Shawnettee United Methodist Church in Collinwood, Tennessee, with John Ives and Mauldon Holloway officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the church cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 6 pm to 9 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, TN. His body will be placed in the church 2 hours before the services.
Pallbearers will be Harold Horton, Jerry Horton, James Lee Dixon, Melvin Dixon, Josh Davis, Pat Bryson, Kelvin McFall. Honorary pallbearers will be J. C. Gallaher and Brent Dixon.
