Elaine Leslie Bryda Cox was born August 16, 1943 in Bristol, Connecticut the daughter of the late Jon and Margarett Fuschillo Bryda.
She was united in marriage to Chester Cox Sr. on July 23, 1962.
Elaine, affectionately known to all as Mom, lived life to the fullest. Family and friends were the most important to her, she never met a stranger. She loved cooking for large family functions and for friends. She was extremely artistic and should of have done stand up comedy, she certainly kept everyone laughing with her great sense of humor. Elaine was the glue that kept the family together. She will be greatly missed by all.
Mrs. Cox departed this life on October 21, 2009 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 66 Years, 2 Months, 5 Days. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Chester Cox Sr. of Bethel Springs, TN; daughter, Cheryl Rooney of Atlanta, GA; daughter-in-law, Anita Cox of Venice, FL; a brother, Jon Bryda of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Madison, Hailey, Hannah and Emma; cousins, Margaret and husband Adolph Faticoni, Tony and wife Libby Fuschillo; dear friend, Pat Churchwell; nephew, Buddy Fortune and wife Linda; many more nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by a son, Chet Cox; grandson, Ryan Consic; sister, Vickie Gouthro.
