Elaine Peterson Doherty

ELAINE PETERSON DOHERTY

was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 30, 1925 the daughter of the late Henry Raymond and Rose Driscoll Peterson.

Mrs. Doherty was united in marriage for over 50 years to William Frances Doherty, who preceded her in death in October 2009.

Mrs. Doherty was a homemaker. She grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts and she raised her family in Rockland, Massachusetts. Mrs. Doherty was a lifelong member of Holy Family Church in Rockland, Massachusetts, which she was very involved in all church activities. She enjoyed spending time with her family and praising the Lord.

Mrs. Doherty departed this life on May 26, 2016 at Perry County Nursing Home at the age of 91 years and 26 days.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne Marie Babin of Sardis, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in deathby one son in September of 2007, William G. Doherty and six brothers and sisters.
