ELAINE RICHARDSON
Henderson, TN: Virginia Elaine Henry Richardson age 65 passed away Friday evening December 19, 2014 at her son’s home in Henderson.
She was born April 9, 1949 in Madison County, the daughter of the late Arlie and Virginia Dair Wolfe Henry. She went to school at Jackson Central Merry. She had worked at Duro Paper Bag and Maytag. She had returned to school at the age of sixty plus at Jackson – State Community College and earned a degree in business, graduating top of the class, and receiving the President’s Award.
She married Bobby Richardson in 1966. They had made their home in Henderson. He preceded her in death 2008.
Mrs. Richardson was currently working at Freed-Hardeman University as an Assistant to the Director in the Registrar’s Office. She was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ, were she was assistant bible teacher for the three year olds.
She is survived by two sons, Brian Richardson of Beech Bluff and Justin Richardson and wife Jordan of Henderson; a daughter, Rebecca Maness and husband Steve of Luray; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild and two brothers, Nathan Henry of Knoxville and Quinn Henry of Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday December 23, 2014 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with David Powell officiating and burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5 PM until 9 PM on Monday.
