ELDRIDGE AUSTIN, JR.
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on February 27, 1932 the son of the late Eldridge Allen Austin, Sr. and Emma Lee Patterson Austin.
On January 1, 1950 he was united in marriage to Fannie Kate Smith, who survives.
Mr. Austin retired from Briggs in Corinth, Mississippi, where he worked in coffee sales, he also worked for ARA Services in Murfreesboro, Tennessee for 20 years. Mr. Austin was a former resident of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and the Walnut Grove community in Savannah. He was a member of Holland's Creek Methodist Church. Mr. Austin was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He departed this life on May 31, 2011 in Florence, Alabama at the age of 79 years, 3 months and 4 days.
In addition to his wife, Fannie Kate Austin of Florence, Alabama, he is survived by 2 daughters, Brenda Austin of Florence, Alabama and Michelle Jones of Savannah, Tennessee.
one son, Rodger Austin of Murfreesboro, Tennessee
5 grandchildren, Brian Austin, Matthew Austin, Landon Austin, Whitney Smith and Katelyn Jones
5 great grandchildren, Carleigh Austin, Christopher Austin, Austin Smith, Madalyn Smith and Addison Jones.
one sister, Patsy Holcombe of Savannah, Tennessee and 2 brothers, Ancil Austin of Bartlett, Tennessee and Grady Austin of Flagstaff, Arizona.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Frank Austin.
