ELEANOR MAXINE MERRITT QUINDRY



Jackson, TN: Eleanor Maxine Merritt Quindry, age 90 passed away January 6, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.



Mrs. Quindry was born in Detroit, MI and raised in Fairfield, IL, the daughter of the late Joe E. and Oma Morris Merritt. She graduated from Fairfield Community High School and McKendree University in Lebannon, IL. She married Randall S. Quindry in October 1941. They resided in Fairfield, IL where she taught in the Fairfield school system and Mr. Quindry practiced law and also served as Circuit Judge. They spent 24 years of retirement in Florida before locating to Jackson in 2004 to make their home near their daughter Linda. Mr. Quindry preceded in death in 2005. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Henderson.



She is survived by a daughter, Linda Bishop and husband Don of Jackson; a son, Steve Quindry and wife Janet of St. Charles, MO; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a sister, Imogene Mitchell of Kankakee, IL.



Memorial services will be announced later at Jackson Meadows Retirement Home in Jackson, TN and graveside services will be announced later for Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield, IL.
