Eligha Walker Stephens

Eligha Walker Stephens of Waynesboro, TN was born September 18, 1917 in Princeton, Kentucky, the son of the late Joseph Eligha and Mary Grace Morse Stephens. Mr. Stephens was a farmer.
Mr. Stephens departed this life on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 9 Months, 23 Days.
He is survived by three sons, Joseph Stephens of Rushville, MO, Charles D. (Chuck) Stephens of Franklin, TN, Jake Stephens of Waynesboro, TN; three daughters, Gracie M. Hamm of Waynesboro, TN, Maggie Priddy of Bethpage, TN, Bell Grandstaff of Newport News, VA; 20 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren; and his former wife, the mother of his children, Louise Hudson Weatherly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Leo Stephens and two sisters, Louise Brown and Ialene Sheble.
Graveside services will be at 10 am, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Chad Balentine officiating. Burial will follow with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, TN directing.
