Elizabeth Ann (Ms. Betty) Cummings was born January 3, 1936 in Evansville, IN, the daughter of the late Roy Franklin Hall Sr. and Marie Gardner Hall.
Throughout her life, Ms. Betty embraced various roles with grace and love, from a dedicated military wife and homemaker to working at Kenwin Dress Shop and as a substitute teacher. She had attended Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church and Lakeview Baptist Church over the years.
A member of the Selmer Senior Citizen's Center, Ms. Betty cherished community connections and friendships. Her adventurous spirit was evident in her love for camping and motorcycle riding. However, above all else, she found true joy in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved so much.
Ms. Betty departed this life on July 9, 2024 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 6 Months, 6 Days.
She is survived by a daughter, Donetta Poisson; a sister, Virginia Junker; two brothers, Roy Hall Jr., Gary Hall; seven grandchildren: Syble Gygi and husband Mike, Brian Gray, Chuck Murrell and wife Melissa, Micah Gray and wife LeAnn, Max Murrell, Stephanie Nickens and husband Sam, David Poisson; fourteen great grandchildren: Alyssa Gray, Zeke Gray, Ayden Gygi, Dylan Gygi, Addison Gray, Finn Gray, Ryhan Gray, Chloe Murrell, Christian Murrell, Cortlyn Murrell, Caroline Murrell, Elizabeth Nickens, Madalyn Nickens, Samuel Nickens; and a several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Cummings; a daughter, Carol Williams.
