Elizabeth M. Williams

Elizabeth M. Williams was born January 1, 1927 in Adamsville, TN, the daughter of the late Manuel C. and Lillian Lucas Martin.She was united in marriage to Afton Williams who preceded her in death.Mrs. Williams was a former secretary for the Adamsville Telephone Company, and had also worked as a waitress for the River Heights Restaurant in Crump, Tennessee. She owned and operated the Leapwood Video Store. Mrs. Williams was a member of St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church in Selmer, Tennessee.Mrs. Williams departed this life on November 28, 2009 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 10 Months, 27 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Lillia Schaffer and husband Richard of Selkirk, NY; two sons, Martin Richardson and wife Pat of Conway, AR and Afton B. Williams Jr. and wife Angela of Adamsville, TN; a sister, Bessie K. Maxedon of Bellville, TX; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her caretaker and dear friend, Virginia Hill of Adamsville, TN.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by two brothers, Will Martin and John Paul Martin.
