Ella Marie Butler

Ella Marie Cummins Butler of Iron City, TN was born June 25, 1927 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the daughter of the late Prince and Jimmie Loretto Dicus Cummins. She was united in marriage to Buford Scott Butler on September 12, 1953 and he preceded her in death on January 14, 2001.
Mrs. Butler was a factory worker and of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Butler departed this life on Tuesday, April 4, 2011 at Alive Hospital at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN at the age of 83 Years, 9 Months, 10 Days.
She is survived by two daughters, Hazel Roberts of Iron City, TN, Sharon Newton and husband, Ricky of Lawrenceburg, TN; 3 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; three brothers, Hoyt Cummins of Clinton Township, MI, and Tommy Cummins and Prince Cummins Jr. both of Collinwood, TN; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Cummins, Johnny Don Cummins; a sister, Patsy Gray; grandsons, Jason and Gary Skaggs.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee with Ricky Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors directing. Pallbearers will be Kyle Staggs, Timothy Ary, Brad Roberts, Kris Howard, Scotty Skaggs, Greg Skaggs, Skyler Skaggs, and Bronson Ayers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 10 am until service time at the funeral home.
