Ellen Virginia Anderson

Mrs. Anderson died Friday, November 20, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
A native of Grand Junction, she was the daughter of the late James Aaron and Mary Ellen Josephine Williams Martin. On December 28, 1934, she married Robert J. Anderson. Mr. Anderson died April 29, 2007 after 72 years of marriage. She was a Baptist in faith. Mrs. Anderson lived most of her life near Shelby, Mississippi until returning to Hardeman County where she lived from 2000 - 2007. She lived in Memphis for the past two years.
She leaves a daughter June Haley and husband, Ewing of Memphis; a sister, Jean Bishop of Bolivar; a brother, Joe Martin of Hickory Valley; two grandchildren, Mark and Reid Haley; six great-grandchildren, Chris, Scott, Britt, Marc, Matthew and Ellen Haley; and three great-great-grandchildren; Carly, Candace and Ty Haley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Karen Haley; two sisters, Elizabeth Ferguson and Mabel Lax; and a brother, J. B. Martin.
