Ellen Garrett Carter, 75, of Middleton, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Magnolia Regional Healthcare in Corinth, MS.
The widow of James Carter, who died October 3, 2005, she was a homemaker. Born in Pocahontas to the late Henry and Mary Alice Cummings Garrett, she lived most of her life in Hardeman County and was a member of Essary Springs Baptist Church.
She leaves as her survivors, a daughter and her husband, Teresa and Bruce Redfearn of Middleton; a son, Roger Carter of Kissimmee, FL; two sisters, Joyce Wilbanks of Pocahontas, Mary Brown of Cloverport; and three grandchildren and their wives, Adam and Sally Redfearn of Milan, Joshua and Katherine Carter of Middleton, and Jessica Carter of Medon, TN.
