Elsie Marie Berry Cummins

Elsie Marie Berry Cummins of Collinwood, TN, was born May 1, 1936 in Cypress Inn, TN the daughter of the late Homer and Ester Bowen Berry. She was united in marriage to Obie Hershel Cummins on June 5, 1964. Elsie retired from Angelica Manufacturing Company, where she worked for 30 years as a seamstress. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Waynesboro, TN. Elsie departed this life on January 21, 2023 in Collinwood, TN at her home at the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 20 days.

She is survived by her husband Obie Hershel Cummins of Collinwood, TN; sons, Danny Haddock (Sue) of Elkhart, IN, Mike Cummins (Carol) of Detroit, MI, Keith Cummins (Becky) of Nashville, TN, Lynn Cummins (Christy) of Florence, AL, and Tim Cummins of Florence, AL; daughters, Theresa Prince (Alfred) of Cleveland, OH, and Cindy Vaden (Carroll) of Collinwood, TN; brother, Bobby Berry (Linda) of Elkhart, IN; sisters, Kathy Bolyard (Kevin) of Chillicothe, OH, Ruby Dean McKinney (Hobie) of Elkhart, IN, Annette Cowles (Kenny) of Elkhart, IN, Sandy Lynn (Vic) of Elkhart, IN; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Haddock and a son-in-law, Steve Vaden.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN, with John Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens at Collinwood, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Cummins, Tim Cummins, Shawn Caperton, Blake Dodd, Keith Cummins, and Jeremiah Haddock.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Matthew Stults, Alred Prince, and Brian Cummins.
