Elsie Smith

Finger, TN: Elsie Marie Maness Smith, age 82 passed away Friday night at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.



She was born and reared in the Hickory Corner Community of Chester County the daughter of the late Millard and Wilma Lavera Patterson Maness. She attended schools at Hickory Corner. She was married to Amo Smith in 1946. They made their home in the Old Friendship Community most of their married life. She retired from Western State in Bolivar. Mr. Smith died in 2007. They were married for 60 years. She attended Little Hatchie Primitive Baptist Church.



She is survived by a son, Terry Smith and wife Debra of Finger; four grandchildren and one great grandchild; four brothers, Ravon Maness, Denny Maness and Billy Maness all of Henderson and Gary Maness of Memphis and a sister, Faye Pipkin of Jackson.
