Emily Rose Davis of Bolivar, TN, died on December 9, 2015. She was 87 years old.

She was born on September 23, 1928 in Eldorado, KS. She was married to Franklin H. Davis for 57 years and together they had 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Emily spent her life giving to others, providing love and guidance and a place to call home. She loved crossword puzzles, Sudoku, playing games, being outdoors, and being on the lake, but her favorite was when she had her family and friends staying in her house and was able to entertain and spoil them. She had a way of making everyone feel special. She will be greatly missed.

Emily was proceed in death by her husband, Franklin Davis and son, John Davis.

She is survived by her son, Don Davis (Elizabeth), daughters, Nanci Perilloux (Charles) and Darla Davis Maynard (Bill), Teddy Davis (daughter-in-law), grandchildren, Brant Davis (Desire), Elizabeth Davis Didlake (Billy), Stacy Parks (Jeremy), Christie McMillan (Sean), Chris Davis (Caroline), Aimee Tschiffely (Chauncey), Patricia Davis, Maygan Howard (Alex), Will Maynard, Matthew Maynard, and 16 great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held at Shackelford Funeral Home followed by a private burial.

Memorial donations may be made in Emily’s name to First United Methodist Church of Bolivar, TN.
