Emma Nola Houston

March 28, 1932 — February 10, 2024

Corinth, MS formerly of Michie, TN

Emma Nola Houston, beloved daughter of Tellie and Beulah Miller Brewer, was born on March 28, 1932 in Wayne County, TN.

During her time with us, Emma's journey was marked by love, devotion, and a strong work ethic. She embarked on a lifelong partnership with her beloved husband, James Reid Houston. Together, they shared countless cherished moments before his passing on July 11, 2000.

Emma's professional ventures were as diverse as they were admirable. She found fulfillment in various roles including factory worker, owner of  a fabric shop, and a florist. In Corinth, MS, she nurtured her passion for flowers and creative floral arrangements as the proud proprietor of Flower World for many years.

Beyond her professional achievements, Emma discovered joy in the simplicities of life - gardening and cooking. However, above all else, Emma relished in the company of her children - grandchildren - great grandchildren; their laughter and warmth brought immeasurable joy to her heart. She also took great pride in caring for her family and friends.

A member of Michie First Baptist Church, Emma found solace and strength through her unwavering faith. She embraced the teachings and community of her church family who supported her throughout life's many joys and challenges.

On February 10th, 2024 at her daughter's home in Corinth, Mississippi, Emma Nola Houston passed away at the age of 91 Years, 10 Months, and 13 Days. Mrs. Houston leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever endure within the hearts of those she held dear.
