Emma Sue Pirtle

Mrs. Pirtle passed away Sunday afternoon at NHC in Somerville.
The daughter of the late Wiley Thomas Feathers and Emma Perry Feathers, she was born in Cloverport and lived all of her life in that area. On April 4, 1931, she married John Thomas Pirtle, Jr. and they were married for 66 years before his death on March 22, 1998. She worked as a homemaker and also was employed as an inspector for Kilgore Corporation. She was a long time member of the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church near Cloverport.
She leaves her son, Fred Pirtle and wife, Betty, of Bartlett, TN; two grandchidren and three great-grandchildren.
