ERNEST PATTONwas born in Pine Valley, Mississippi on January 21, 1937 the son of the late Harold and Ruby Mae Jobblin Patton.On September 15, 1966 he was united in marriage to Margaret Blanton, who survives.Ernest served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Shiloh National Military Park where he was the cemetery caretaker. Ernest also worked as a supervisor for the Shelby County School bus Shop and was a mechanic instructor at William R. Moore School of Technology. Ernest lived in Memphis, Tennessee for 20 years and lived in Adamsville, Tennessee for 25 years. He loved animals,his red Dodge truck and Ernest loved his family.Ernest departed this life on September 1, 2012 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville, Mississippi at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 11 days.In addition to his wife, Margaret of Adamsville, Tennessee, he is survived by three brothers, Lonnie Patton and his wife Nelda of Pittsboro, Mississippi, Jim Patton of Banner, Mississippi and George Patton and his wife Carol of Kosciusko, Mississippi.Ernest was also preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Ruth Rasberry and one brother, Roy Patton
